About WhyUnite
Our Mission
The WhyUnite? Project is an individual initiative aimed at channeling the capacities of a community of creatives, builders, and storytellers in order to share the transforming power of the Baha'i Faith with the world.
The project aims to empower individuals to work in teams to offer educational and inspirational materials about the Baha'i Faith. We have formed a 501.3c non-profit for organizing resources for these content development efforts.
Relationship with the Baha'i Worldwide Organization
We are focused on sharing compelling content from individual Baha'is. The views and perspectives shared are from individuals. They do not represent an official interpretation of the Baha'i Faith. Therefore, we always encourage people to turn to the Baha'i Writings to seek their own personal understandings.
That said, this project does not enroll new believers. From our perspective, that is the job of the Institutions of the Baha'i Faith which are building a worldwide community of believers empowered by the Founder of this religion to lead humanity forward in true and lasting unity.

About the WhyUnite? team
This effort was originally started by a husband and wife team from the Pacific Northwest of the United States. They conceived of it after writing and publishing a series of books and videos under the WhyUnite brand, including a collection of over 45 interviews of Baha'is telling their own stories of finding, embracing, and practicing it's teachings. They found this experience tremendously inspiring and energizing, and so they wanted to help others join in and share in the bounty that comes from being involved in such a spirit-affirming effort.
Our approach
Our approach starts with you, our customers. We strive to see your needs, your desires, and your capacities as foremost in our minds when we develop our content. We not only look at where you are today, but we try to anticipate where you are going in the future (or where you want to go). We find that gap between your current situation and where you aspire to be, and that’s what we zero in on. Our goal in everything we create is to get to know our customers so well that we delight them in every encounter.
A Product Approach
Our organization was founded by a “product guy.” This means that we start with our product and adapt our people and processes from that point forward. We believe that aesthetics, artistic elements, and finishing touches matter deeply to people. But we also believe that we have to learn how to serve our customers with our products and services, and that this learning does not come easy. It takes courage. It requires constancy. And it demands audaciousness. That’s where we thrive, at WhyUnite?.
Forcing an Evolution
And of course, we are committed to focusing on evolving our approach over time. We don’t just aim to create great products. Instead, we aim to develop a capacity to deliver great products. We know this approach takes humility, detachment, commitment, and follow-through to get it right. But we also know that in the long run, this is the only way to ensure success.

About the Bahá'í Faith
The Bahá'í Faith was founded in the mid 1800’s and has since spread throughout the world. The Bahá'ís believe that all the religions of the world are part of one religion of God. It brings together people from every conceivable faith background with a modern and fresh approach to eternal spiritual realities.The Bahá'ís are given numerous tools and practices to bring out the best in themselves on a daily basis including prayer, meditation, and reflection. The Bahá'í Faith has formed a global community in which we can work on ourselves and improve our characters through service to others. And it provides a worldwide vision that works to bring all people together to work towards common aims.
The goals of the Bahá'í Faith are many. Bahá'ís work to spiritualize humanity from the grassroots up, one heart at a time. We strive together to achieve universal aspirations such as world peace, universal education, gender equality, race unity, prosperity and opportunity for all, and a healthy and balanced approach to life. The Bahá'í Faith offers a whole new way to organize religion that has no clergy or professional priestly class. It is an all-volunteer community dedicated to serving the needs of humanity.

About the creator
Nathan is the author and producer of several books and videos about the Baha'i Faith. With over a decade of experience in technology and media, he is the founder of Greysands Media, LLC, and the creator of the WhyUnite Project. Nathan grew up in an active Baha'i family and in his youth traveled widely serving Baha'i communities in many capacities. Today, he works as a product leader, consultant, and writer on various topics. He also spends his free time enjoying skiing, hiking, and other outdoor activities with his wife and children. Nathan holds a graduate degree from Georgetown University and an undergraduate degree from the University of Washington.
